USAF BRIGADIER GENERAL OCP/ABU RANK INSIGNIA

With the 2018 introduction of the Operational Camou-flage Pattern (OCP) uniform, the Air Force created new subdued cloth insignia designed for wear in different locations than those used for the Airman Battle Uniform (ABU). On the ABU, the one-star insignia was rendered in dark blue on a solid-colored background and sewn onto the collars of the ABU coat; for the OCP, the spice-brown star set on a camouflage field is placed on the chest and may optionally be sewn on or attached using a Velcro backing. (Note: OCP coat rank insignia must use the same attachment style as both the nametape and USAF tape found on the front of the coat).

Other uniforms or garments that require subdued cloth insignia include (but are not limited to outerwear ensembles like the All-Purpose Environmental Clothing System (APECS) and the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS).
