USMC EMBROIDERED LIEUTENANT GENERAL RANK INSIGNIA FOR EVENING DRESS

For the Evening Dress uniform, Marine Corps uniform regulations require the three stars of the Lieutenant General rank to either be embroidered directly onto the shoulder straps of the Evening Dress jacket, or to be embroidered on a swatch of matching fabric that is then stitched onto the straps.

At The Salute Uniforms, we offer the insignia-on-cloth style embroidered Lieutenant General rank insignia because it doesn’t require stitching on the embroidery work and eliminates the need to measure to ensure the proper distance between the three stars, which are already aligned in the proper point-to-center configuration.

To properly attach the insignia to the shoulder straps, orient the cloth so that a single ray of the stars is pointed at the shoulder-strap button at a 90-degree angle, then position the cloth so that the three stars are centered between the shoulder seam and the outermost edge of the shoulder-strap button.
