The branch-of-service insignia worn as a cap device by enlisted Marines on the Dress Cap is modeled after the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem adopted as the centerpiece of the seal of the U.S. Marine Corp in 1955. Like the version worn by USMC Officers, the enlisted cap insignia omits the motto ribbon held by the eagle with the inscription “Semper Fidelis.” The enlisted insignia is rendered all in gold, as opposed to the mixture of gold and silver used for the Officers’ cap device, and the enlisted insignia has the rope attached continuously to the anchor instead of in two discrete points as on the Officers’ device.
A subdued version of this insignia, manufactured in non-glossy black metal or plastic, is worn by enlisted Marines with the Service Cap.
Customers who have purchased the USMC enlisted Dress Cap insignia have also expressed interest in our
enlisted Marine Dress collar devices and
Service collar devices, which are also worn singly on the
Garrison Cap.
