In keeping with the utilitarian design of the Marine Corps Service Uniform, this high-gloss, synthetic leather chinstrap is authorized for wear on the Service Cap by male and female Marines, both enlisted and Officers. It’s also worn by male and female enlisted Marines on the Dress Cap instead of the more ornate gold and scarlet strap worn by Officers with the Blue/Blue-White Dress uniforms.
The chinstrap can easily be adjusted to fit your cap by pulling or pushing on an end, which results in the same adjustments being made to the other end of the strap. This ensures the keepers are positioned symmetrically and are always located in proper relation to each other.
