U.S. ARMY 321ST SUSTAINMENT BRIGADE UNIT CREST (DUI)

The unit motto “Your Names Shall Shine” is inscribed in buff lettering on scarlet scrolls on the 321st Sustainment Brigade Distinctive Unit Insignia; the two colors are traditionally associated with U.S. Army Support organizations. A half-white, half-black annulet in the center of the insignia is divided vertically to form two letter “Cs” facing each other and are short for the unit’s Command and Control functions. The annulet also denotes a wheel, or mobilization and the invocation of the unit’s war cry of “Let’s Roll.” A gold compass rose stands for leadership and guidance and is placed to accentuate the “Shall Shine” portion of the motto. Three spears above the annulet signify the three Southwest Asia campaigns in which the Brigade participated, earning a Meritorious Unit Commendation for its exceptional service. The scarlet coloration used in the insignia is found in that award, and it is also the color of zeal and courage.

Distinctive Unit Insignias are worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been
authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. Current regulations do not permit the DUI to be worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.

More guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1,
Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e), "Beret" and "Garrison Cap," respectively.
