U.S. ARMY 310TH SUSTAINMENT COMMAND UNIT CREST (DUI)

The 310th Sustainment Command Distinctive Unit Insignia, commonly called a DUI or referred to by the initialism DUI, is a metallic facsimile of the Command's Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) that was approved on 310th Logistical Command on 26 January 1956 (see below). You can find complete guidance on its wear in Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e), "Beret" and "Garrison Cap" respectively, of Department of the Army Pamphlet 670-1.

The 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) is an Army Reserve unit headquartered in Indianapolis. Prior to its designation as an Expeditionary Sustainment Command in April 2006 and subsequent activation in September 2007, the unit was designated the 310th Support Command. Its lineage dates back to 1950 and the constitution and activation of the 310th Logistical Command at Fort Myer, Virginia.

Despite undergoing a string of reorganizations and redesignations over the decades, the unit motto “Victory Through Support” has served as a reminder of the critical importance of Support units, and the Command’s performance has reflected its commitment to this principle. Deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn in 2011, the Command’s service was recognized with a Meritorious Unit Commendation for providing superior logistical support operations between April and October of that year.

Also awarded to the Command but pending approval are another Meritorious Unit Commendation (for a detachment of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company) for its Support service between December 2014 and August 2015 and an Army Superior Unit Award (October 2014 to October 2015). And in June 2016, the excellent performance and dedication to duty of the 310th Sustainment Command was recognized when it became one of a very small number of units in the Army Logistics world to receive the Distinguished Unit of the Regiment Award, presented at the Quartermaster Corps Regimental Honors Ceremony in Virginia at Fort Lee (renamed Fort Gregg-Adams in 2023).
