We offer color and monochrome versions of the 411th Engineer Brigade Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, colloquially referred to as unit patches. The color patch is for wear on Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and old Army Green Uniform that was discontinued in October 2015. (Note: we continue to manufacture and sell the old Army Green Uniform in response to high demand from veterans, collectors, and other groups seeking authentic uniforms made to Mil-Spec standards.) The monochrome “ACU patch” Shoulder Sleeve Insignia comes in two versions, UCP and OCP; please be sure you select the pattern that matches the camouflage of the ACU or other utility uniform on which it will be placed.
This insignia is identical to the one used for the 411th Engineer Brigade CSIB, or Combat Service ID Badge.

The 411th Engineer Brigade’s commitment to its motto of “Plan Build Protect” was put to the test when it was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in September 2006. Taking over for the 130th Engineer Brigade, the unit was tasked with route clearance and crater repair, sanitation, combat engineer support, and planning, design, and construction of operating bases (this is not an all-inclusive list of the unit’s missions). The Brigade earned a Meritorious Unit Commendation (MUC) for its services during its nearly year-long deployment.
Deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012, the Brigade Headquarters and Headquarters Company performed similar functions as part of Joint Task force Empire, and garnered its second MUC for providing infrastructure improvements and freedom of movement to Coalition forces while simultaneously enhancing the “Plan Build Protect” capabilities of the Afghanistan National Army with its engineer partnership operations.
