U.S. ARMY 310TH PERSONNEL GROUP UNIT CREST (DUI)

Also known as a unit crest or DUI, a Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.

The 310th Personnel Group Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved for wear on 29 February 2000. Its dark blue and scarlet colors are the ones traditionally by Personnel units.

Two wavy bars beneath a trio of quill pens—one placed vertically over a pair of crossed pens—commemorate the two campaigns in which units in the Group’s lineage took part during World War II; the quills stand for the mission and administrative operations carried out by the unit: Personnel, Postal, and Replacement units. A gold fleur-de-lis is an emblem of war service in France, Normandy, and the Ardennes-Alsace campaign. “Service Readiness Excellence” is the unit motto.

Note: This unit does not appear to be active and may have been reorganized, redesignated, converted, or consolidated with another unit.
