Also known as a unit crest or DUI, the Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.
Full guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1,

The Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI) originally approved for the 901st Support Battalion on 4 May 2007 is worn today by the 901st Contracting Battalion. Its shield background consists of red, white, and blue fields—the colors of both our National Flag and Army Materiel Command, both served proudly by the Battalion.
A black star with gold border recalls the color combination created for the United States Army logo in 2006. The star spans the top of the globe, symbolizing the Battalion’s contingency contracting capabilities and the unit’s ability to provide to support Warfighters across the world. In the center of the star are the A and Z letters from the Greek alphabet, the Alpha and Omega, a reference to the contracting process encompassing all types of supply and services required for mission success. “Without Hesitation Or Fear,” the Battalion motto, resolutely states the Battalion’s complete commitment to supporting the Warfighter whether on or off the field of battle.
A subordinate unit of the 418th Contracting Support Brigade, the 901st Contracting Battalion comprises a Headquarters and five contracting teams. The Battalion is tasked with planning and carrying out contingency contracting necessary for Army operations as well as with those of joint forces, readying Warfighters to accomplish operational contracting support missions, and training and deploying contingency contracting teams.
The Battalion is garrisoned at Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood) in Texas, where it works with the Fort's Mission and Installation Contracting Command to provide contracting support for Fort Cavazos and the 1st Cavalry Division. Its most recent deployments were in 2016-2017 to Afghanistan and in 2018-2019 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
