Often called a unit crest or a DUI for short, the Distinctive Unit Insignia of the 757th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion was approved with an effective date of 1 September 2011. The colors of silver/white and blue, predominant in the insignia, are the state colors for Nevada, reflecting the unit’s status as part of the Nevada Army National Guard. Silver is also used to denote the five virtues of beauty, clarity, humility, innocence, and purity, while the buff (representing earth and lesser nobility) and scarlet (valiance) are used in the bend (diagonal bar running from top left to lower right) are the colors associated with Support units.
The dovetail partition dividing those two colors symbolizes the Battalion mission as a unit of the Nevada National Guard Multifunctional Logistics Battalion supporting the Governor of Nevada—or the President of the United States—in the event of a local, state, or national emergency. A halberd in the blue section of the insignia recalls the unit’s designation as Combat Sustainment Support and the star and sage branches in the silver section are taken from the Nevada state flag.
“Battle Born Sustain Forward” is the Battalion motto.

The Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.
Full guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1,
Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e),
"Beret" and
"Garrison Cap," respectively.
