Our U.S. Navy Male Service Dress Blue Coat features a double-breasted design and is manufactured with authorized Navy blue 55/45 polywool gabardine. It has three outside pockets (a single breast pocket on the wearer's left and two hip pockets), three 35-ligne Navy eagle gilt buttons on each front panel of the coat, and a sword/cutlass slit over the left hip. It is worn by Officers and Chief Petty Officers with the Service Dress Blue Uniform and the Full Dress Blue Uniform worn at various military or governmental ceremonies, functions, and visits (listed in Article 3213 of NAVPERS 15665I).

This is to accommodate various arm lengths and to reduce total alteration costs since placement of sleeve stripes and devices is based upon distance from the sleeve end, allowing you to hem the sleeve to its regulation length before sewing on sleeve ornamentation. We do offer a variety of sleeve alteration services that will be suggested to you when add the coat to your shopping cart should you prefer to have the coat arrive ready to wear.
