The Coast Guard Men’s Dinner Dress Blue Jacket (DDBJ) is of course worn with the uniform named for it, as well as with the Formal Dress Blue Uniform. We manufacture the Men’s DDBJ at our production facility in North Carolina to meet or surpass all Navy regulations using a certified 55/45 polyester-wool fabric blend and only Made-in-USA components to ensure it is Berry Amendment-compliant. The jacket’s construction is the same for both the Officer and Enlisted versions because rank insignia is displayed with sleeve stripes (see sleeve alterations below) rather than on epaulettes or with hard shoulder boards for Officers. - Two chain-linked 28-ligne Coast Guard gilt buttons*

Note: Our military dress coats and jackets are manufactured and ship with unfinished sleeves longer than most customers would ever need. This is to accommodate various arm lengths and to reduce total alteration costs since placement of sleeve stripes or services stripes is based upon distance from the sleeve end, allowing you to hem the sleeve to its regulation length before sewing on sleeve ornamentation. It also ensures you have ample material with which to work during the alteration process.
