COAST GUARD AUXILIARY DIVISION VICE COMMANDER / DSO / D-AA / BC LACINGS SET

While there are no military ranks in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, it employs a sleeve insignia system based upon Navy and Coast Guard traditions and regulations, using silver lace stripes instead of gold on the sleeves of its Service Dress Blue Coat and Dinner Dress Blue Jacket (which is actually black).

The elected leadership position of Division Vice Commander (VCDR) and appointed Staff roles of District Staff Officer (DSO), District Commodore Administrative Assistant (D-AA), and Branch Chief (BC) share the same sleeve insignia of two 1/2-inch stripes separated by a single 1/4-inch stripe. The lace closest to the end of the sleeve is positioned two inches from the cuff, with 1/4-inch of space between it and each subsequent stripe. Each stripe fully circles the sleeve, with both ends being terminated at the sleeve’s back seam.

An Auxiliary shield sleeve device is worn centered on the sleeve 1/4-inch above the topmost lace, with a VCDR designated by a blue “A” and the appointed Staff officers indicated by a red “A.” Customers purchasing this set of lacing might wish the appropriate sew-on Auxiliary shield to their shopping carts by clicking on the products below.
