Worn with the eponymous Coast Guard Auxiliary uniform, the Women’s Dinner Dress White Jacket is a bolero-style jacket with a narrow shawl collar and three silver buttons embossed with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary emblem on each of the jacket’s front panels. This jacket is also worn with Navy and Coast Guard uniforms of the same name, but female Guardsmen are given the option of adding two linked-chain buttons to use for front closure; women in the Auxiliary wear the jacket open.
The wearer’s Auxiliary assignment/position is displayed on hard shoulder boards secured to the jacket via a pair of shoulder loops. We include the shoulder loops with the jacket, but we ship them unattached unless you opt for our loop-sewing service when you add the jacket to your shopping cart.
Other optional services include sleeve hemming (our jackets normally ship with extra-long, unfinished sleeves to ensure they are long enough for our customers’ disparate arm lengths) and mounting of medals and insignia.
