Worn by female personnel with the Class A and Class B Army Service Uniform (ASU) and the Army Dress Uniform, the Overblouse is an optional wear item worn in lieu of the Female Long-Sleeved Service Uniform Shirt. It is manufactured in a semi-fitted shirt-length style with front princess seams and a three-piece back. Other features of the Overblouse include:
- 65/35 polyester/cotton blend in a herringbone weave
- Army White shade 521
- Durable press and soil release finish
- 5-ounce weight
- Shoulder loops for slide-on insignia
- Convertible collar
- Six-button front
Unlike the long-sleeved shirt, the Overblouse is not required to be tucked in when worn with the ASU Slacks or Skirt, and a belt is not required when it is worn with slacks.
