U.S. ARMY 207TH MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BRIGADE UNIT CREST (DUI)

Also known as a unit crest or DUI, a Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam.

Enlisted personnel wear the insignia centered on a shoulder loop by placing it an equal distance from the outside shoulder seam to the outside edge of the shoulder-loop button. Officers (except Generals) wearing grade insignia on the shoulder loops center the DUI by placing it an equal distance between the inside edge of the grade insignia and the outside edge of the button.

More guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1,
Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e), "Beret" and "Garrison Cap," respectively.

The 207th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater) was activated in 2016 following an 18-year inactivation period. Assigned to support the AFRICOM Unified Combatant Command and U.S. Army Africa, the Brigade is headquartered Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, Italy and comprises three battalions: an Army Reserve Battalion (337th Military Intelligence) based in Illinois and two Regular Army Military Intelligence battalions (307th and 522nd) tasked with collections and operations and respectively stationed in Vicenza and Wiesbaden, Germany.

In the Brigade's Distinctive Unit Insignia, a heraldic rose in the Military Intelligence color of oriental blue recalls the design of the heraldic rose on the Military Intelligence branch insignia. Inside the rose, the winged horse Pegasus spreads its wings, each with seven feathers, to signify the use of aerial assets in support of VII U.S. Corps, the parent organization at the time the 207th Military Intelligence Brigade Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved for a predecessor unit; the insignia was redesignated for the Brigade on 16 October 1985.

A golden key denotes the unlocking of enemy secrets through intelligence gathering, and a lightning bolts symbolizes the Brigade’s electronic warfare capabilities and the almost instantaneous transmission of information, adding up to the ability to quickly "See Strike Know."
