Crafted from a polyester-cotton blend in Air Force shade 1550, the Women’s Long-Sleeved Blue Overblouse is worn with the Class A Service Dress Uniform and the Class B Service Blue Uniform. It features epaulets for Officers’ shoulder marks, princess seams, and rounded cuffs with buttonhole closures (the overblouse may be modified at the Airman’s expense to accommodate cuff links). A white, tucked-in undershirt (V-neck, crew neck, or athletic-style tank top) may optionally be worn with overblouse.
When worn as part of the Class A Service Dress Uniform, the pointed ends of the collars must be visible a quarter- to a half-inch above the Service Dress Coat collars, and a properly sized Overblouse will have sleeves that end between a quarter- to a half-inch pass the wrists with the arms hanging naturally, but which are not visible when the Service Dress Coat is worn.
This overblouse is also authorized for wear by both Officers and Enlisted female Guardsmen with the Coast Guard Women's Service Dress Blue Bravo Uniform. Officers wear their rank of insignia on hard shoulder boards attached to the overblouse's epaulettes, while Enlisted personnel wear collar insignia.
The Women’s Long-Sleeved Overblouse is sold as a standalone Item, and any images displayed on this page that includes other garments, insignia, or uniform accouterments are for illustrative purposes only. In the Air Force, mandatory wear items with the Overblouse include the
necktab (required for both Class A and B uniforms),
shoulder marks (Officers only),
chevrons (Junior Enlisted and Noncommissioned Officers), and
nametag. Equivalent Coast Guard items are the
blue tab tie,
hard shoulder boards, collar insignia, and nametags.
