U.S. NAVY PETTY OFFICER 1ST CLASS ANODIZED COLLAR DEVICE (E6)

Petty Officers First Class (E6) wear regularly sized collar insignia on the collar points of the blue all-weather coat and miniature insignia on the shirt/overblouse of the Service Uniform. Insignia placement rules are the same in both cases, with the insignia tilted inboard at roughly 45 degrees and the eagle facing to the left; the left and right sides of the insignia’s midpoint should be one inch from the front and lower edges of the collar. This results in a configuration where an imaginary line bisecting the collar point will run through the vertical axis of the insignia.

All buttons except the collar button should be fastened when wearing the blue all-weather coat, but buttoning the collar button is permissible during inclement weather conditions. For female Petty Officers First Class, the clear plastic cover for the combination cap may be worn (males at E6 and below are not authorized to wear combination caps).
