Navy distinguished civilian service mini medal.This award is given to U.S. navy employees who have given distinguished and/or extraordinary services to the Department of the Navy.The award consists of a citation signed by the Secretary of the Navy, a medal, rosette and lapel bar.

The achievements of service must be truly exceptional when measured against position requirements of the individual, and should far exceed the contributions and service of others with comparable responsibilities.
