Marine Corps uniform regulations authorize the wear of hook-on (pre-tied) khaki neckties for wear by men with the Service “A” and “B” and Blue Dress “C” uniforms. Pre-tied neckties are particularly useful for Marines whose manual dexterity has been hampered by a medical condition or injury, and they also tend to have a longer wear life because there’s no need for the constant tugging involved in putting and removing standard neckties.

Our hook-on khaki necktie features a four-in-hand knot and comes in two lengths, 18” and 20” (from the top of the knot to the bottom tip). The bottom of the tie must fall somewhere between 1/2” above or 1/2” below the belt buckle; if you’re unsure which length is best for you, measure the distance from the neck-collar button of the khaki shirt to the prescribed area while wearing appropriate trousers.

A tie-clasp is mandatory when the khaki shirt is worn as the outer garment (Blue Dress “C” and Service “B”) and is optional with the Service “A” uniform. Tie-clasps are oriented horizontally and placed halfway between the third and fourth buttons from the top of the shirt.
