The Kuwait Liberation Medal(Saudi Arabia) was instituted on 4 January 1991 by King Fahd ibn Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia for service during the Liberation of Kuwait campaign between 15 October and 26 November 1990.The Medal is awarded to the members of the Coalition Forces who participated in Operation DESERT STORM by the government of Saudi Arabia.
Kuwait Liberation Medal is awarded to the members of military who participate in liberation of Kuwait Campaign and,who serve in support of Operation DESERT STORM between 17 January 1991 and 28 February 1991, in one or more of the following areas: The Persian Gulf; Red Sea; Gulf of Oman; Gulf of Aden; portion of the Arabian Sea that lies North of 10 degrees North latitude and West of 68 degrees East longitude, as well as the total land areas of Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates.
