The U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, often referred to as a unit patch, was originally approved for the U.S Army Strategic Communications Command on 19 June 1964 and was amended on 31 August 1964 to add the words “U.S. Army” to the designation. On 18 October 1973, it was redesignated for the U.S Army Communications Command, a title it retained for over a decade before being redesignated for U.S. Army Information Systems Command on 25 October 1984.
It was redesignated once more, on 16 September 1997 for the 9th Signal Command, before it was given its current designation for the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command on 1 October 2002.
