Manufactured in Coast Guard blue and conforming to USCG width specifications, this necktie is authorized for wear by male Guardsmen with the Full Dress Blue and both the “Alpha” and “Bravo” variants of the Service Dress Blue uniforms. Additionally, both male and female Coast Guard personnel are authorized to wear it with the Winter Dress Blue uniform. We offer it in two lengths, 57 and 61 inches; choose 61 if the sum of your height (in inches) and neck size is 92 or higher.
The only knot that may be used with the Coast Guard blue tie is the Double Windsor (multiple tutorials on Double Windsor knots are easily found on YouTube). Coast Guard uniform regulations permit a wide variety of tie tacks and clasps to be worn with the neckties ranging from plain gold and gold with USCG rank/rate insignia to tacks and clasps featuring Coast Guard boats, ships, or aircraft. Tacks or clasps should be aligned with the center of the shirt pocket.
