U.S. ARMY 377TH THEATER SUSTAINMENT COMMAND UNIT CREST (DUI)

Also known as a unit crest or DUI, a Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.

More guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1,
Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e), "Beret" and "Garrison Cap," respectively.

As an Army Reserve unit, the 377th Theater Sustainment Command has two missions. The first is to serve as the mission command for subordinate Sustainment Commands (Expeditionary), Army Reserve Sustainment Command, 3rd Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary), and Deployment Support Command, ensuring that these units are trained and ready to be provided in support of overseas contingency operations or to meet any exigency around the globe. Its second major task is to itself deploy and serve as the senior Logistics Headquarters, with the ability to plan, synchronize, and control Army deployment and sustainment at the operational level.

“Can Do, Anytime, Anywhere” is a motto that is both aspirational and empirical, with the Command proudly pointing to both active-duty military achievements and humanitarian efforts at home and abroad as proof. In 2010, for example, the 377th was deployed to alleviate the terrible conditions in Haiti as part of Operation Unified Response, and two years later it headed north from its New Orleans headquarters to assist civilians along the east coast in the wake of Hurricane Sandy’s devastation.

As of Autumn 2023, the 377th Theater Sustainment Command’s Federal mission when called to active duty is to exercise command of several Expeditionary Sustainment Commands (4th, 143rd, 310th, and 316th) as well as Deployment Support Command and the Army Reserve Command by providing units that are trained and ready to serve in support of overseas contingency operations and other global exigencies.
