U.S. ARMY 369TH COMBAT SUPPORT HOSPITAL UNIT CREST (DUI)

The 369th Combat Support Hospital Distinctive Unit Insignia, better known as unit crest or DUI, was first approved for the 369th Station Hospital on 30 June 1971. It was redesignated for the 369th Evacuation Hospital with an effective date of 17 September 1989. When it was redesignated for the 369th Field Hospital on 16 September 1993, it was given revised a revised description and symbolism. The insignia was given its current designation for the 369th Combat Support Hospital, U.S. Army Reserve, on 24 January 1996.

The unit motto, SIRVIENDO, is in Spanish to reflect the organization’s longtime service Puerto Rico. It translates in English as “At Your Service.”

Distinctive Unit Insignias are worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.

More guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1, Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e), "Beret" and "Garrison Cap," respectively.
