The 114th Aviation Regiment is assigned to the 77th Theater Aviation Brigade, a component of the Arkansas Army National Guard. The Regiment comprises a single battalion, the 1st (1-114 Aviation), and is headquartered at Robinson Maneuver Training Center at Little Rock, Arkansas. Designated as a Security and Support Battalion, the 1st consists of three Companies (A, B, and D). Aside from a Headquarters and Headquarters Company, the1-114 Aviation is the only active unit in the 77th Theater Aviation Brigade as of Summer 2023.

Approved on 1 October 1987, the 114th Aviation Regiment Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI), also referred to as a unit crest, features a scroll in the Aviation branch color of ultramarine blue with the unit motto, “Eagles Of Liberty,” inscribed in white (silver) letters. The shield above the scroll has vertical red and white stripes that symbolize blood shed in the defense of liberty (red) and purity of purpose (white).
Superimposed over the shield is a V-shaped pile containing an eagle in profile. The downward-pointing signifies the unit’s mission: attacking from above to destroy enemy Soldiers and armor elements. The eagle is the embodiment of courage, strength, and speedy flight. The inclusion of National colors and National bird help emphasize the unit’s ultimate mission—the defense of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Distinctive Unit Insignias are worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam.
