Manufactured with Mil-Spec materials to meet or exceed all U.S. Air Force uniform regulations, our pre-tied herringbone twill necktie is worn with the Men’s Service Dress and Semi-Formal Dress uniforms, as well as with the long-sleeved shirt of the Class B Service uniform (the tie is optional with the short-sleeved shirt worn with this uniform variation). Tie tacs/clasps are authorized for wear with the tie; if worn, they are centered between the bottom of the knot and bottom tip of the tie.
Although some Airmen and Officers might turn their nose up a pre-tied necktie, the truth is that pre-tied ties tend to wrinkle and bubble less than standard neckties because they’re not exposed to the tugging and pulling that goes along with tying a proper necktie knot and adjusting it. Further, a pre-tied necktie can be a true blessing for Airmen who for one reason or another might not have the adequate manual dexterity to properly knot a tie. Finally, pre-tied neckties are undeniably convenient and save you time—usually when you need it most.
