The 704th Military Intelligence Brigade unit crest, or Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI), was originally approved for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, CONUS Military Intelligence Group on 11 Sepember 1985. This was roughly 15 months before the Brigade was given its current numeric designation as part of a 1987 overhaul of Military Intelligence units aimed to create enhanced pride and esprit de corps among the branch's soldiers.
Military Intelligence is symbolized by a stylized rose, a longstanding symbol of secrecy that is also found on the branch insignia of the Military Intelligence Corps. Red bars between the oriental blue petals connote patriotism and also form a pentagram; silver gray lining on the petals complements the blue to form the colors of the Military Intelligence branch. The motto, “Here And Everywhere,” is reflection of the Brigade’s ability to gather intelligence from sources across the globe, regardless of the unit’s physical location.

The 704th Military Intelligence Brigade has been awarded two Meritorious Unit Commendations for its role in Operation Enduring Freedom. On 24 March 2010, it earned an MUC for actions carried out between 5 October and 31 December of 2008, and three years later it was again cited for its excellence for work done between August 2012 and February 2013.
As of Autumn 2023, the 704th Military Intelligence Brigade is headquartered at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. It exercises command and control over three Military Intelligence Battalions, as well as the United States Army Technical Support Squadron.
