The 319th Transportation Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, or unit patch, was approved on 22 January 1985. In the full-color version, the transportation domains of sea, land, and air are represented by blue, green, and white fields inside a shield. These colors converge in the center at a wheel, connoting the joint, composite mission of the organization. The Brigade’s motto, “Accent On Action,” is signified by the wheel’s implied motion; its gold color and the gold border of the shield denote excellence.
The 319th Transportation Brigade was a Army Reserve unit that earned credit for participation in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II and which later went on to serve as headquarters for various exercises. In Calumet Cargo 88, a nationwide cargo transportation exercise, the Oakland-based Brigade served as exercise command headquarters while assigned as a subordinate unit of 124th Army Reserve Command. In 1994, during the Golden Cargo 94 exercise, the Brigade served as the Reserve Component Command and Control headquarters and coordinated the scheduling of Reserve Component units involved in the exercise.
The Brigade appears to have been inactivated in 1995.
